A pure natural organic product – collected by the bees – which contains many valuable ingredients for humans and animals, which stimulate the growth of the entire organism.
Pollen includes among others the following vitamins and minerals; vitamin A, C, niacin, pantothenic acid, riboflavin-B2, thiamine-B1, pyrodoxine-B6, folinic acid, potassium, calcium, magnesium, copper, manganese, zinc.
Pollen promotes digestion, optimizes the plumage and contributes to the overall condition of young birds. Pollen grains are increasingly used as a natural vitamin mixture. Mix 20-30 grams of pollen in 1 kg softbill food or eggfood. Also can be sprinkled on livefood before and after feeding.
Ground pollen is distinguished from ordinary pollen because the grains collected by the bees are milled with specially manufactured equipment. This makes ground pollen grains especially suitable for the smaller bird species such as Zosterops and finches. We also feed it readily to our Swift Parakeets. Ground Pollen has a shelf life of one year, provided it is stored in dry conditions.
