Spirulina is the dried cell material of micro seawater algae and is known for its valuable ingredients. It contains proteins, carbohydrates and minerals.
For birds Spirulina intensifies the natural colour factor, increases germ resistance, and reduces the possible shortages that birds in aviculture encounter. This will give you better colours, a nicer plumage, increased germ resistance and good breeding results.
Zosterops in captivity are particularly prone to the fading of their green and yellow feathering. Feeding Spirulina will enhance their natural colour.
Mix 2-4 grams of Spirulina daily into 400 grams of softfood or alternatively spread over fruit such as pear, apple or orange.
